Railroad Cornbread Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 can tomato soup
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 c. green peppers
    1 c. whole kernel corn
    3/4 c. cornmeal
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 Tbsp. flour (self-rising)
    1/2 c. milk or buttermilk (if desired)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion; drain and return to pan.
    Add soup, water, corn, pepper and seasoning; mix well. Simmer for 15 minutes.
    Put in baking dish.
    In another bowl, combine cornmeal, sugar, flour, salt, baking powder, egg, milk and oil; mix well and pour onto mixture.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0 and bake for 20 minutes.
