Grapefruit Freeze - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. mint leaves, chopped
    1 (46 oz.) can unsweetened pink grapefruit juice
Preparation
    Combine sugar and water in saucepan; bring to boil.
    Add mint; cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
    Pour mixture through a strainer into an 8 cup container.
    Discard mint.
    Add grapefruit juice.
    Divide mixture into two 1-quart freezer containers; cover and freeze.
    Remove from freezer 2 hours before serving.
    Stir until slushy.
    Garnish, if desired, with fresh mint sprigs.
