Banana-Pineapple Salad(Very Rich) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 egg
lump of butter (walnut-sized)
10 1/2 oz. can chunk pineapple
3 bananas
1 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 pt. heavy cream
Preparation

Drain juice from pineapple.
Reserve juice and add to sugar, flour and egg.
Cook until thick.
Add butter and cool.
Dice pineapple chunks and add to sauce.
Add marshmallows and bananas, thinly sliced.
Whip 1/2 pint cream.
Fold cream into cooked salad and fruit mixture.
Pour into serving bowl.
If desired, sprinkle thinly chopped nuts over top.
Chill thoroughly.
(This rich dessert-like salad can be made a day ahead.)
