Caramel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. hot water
    1 can condensed milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    butter and nuts
Preparation
    Brown 2 cups sugar.
    Add hot water.
    Stir until dissolved. Add condensed milk.
    Let cook until well dissolved.
    Add 1 cup sugar and cook until it forms medium hard ball in cold water.
    Add vanilla, butter and nuts.
    Yield: icing for 4 layers.
