Apricot Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    1 egg
    3/4 c. nuts, chopped
    12 oz. apricot preserves or jam
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg; mix well.
    Then add flour and nuts.
    Dough will be soft.
    Divide in half and spread in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread jam on top of dough.
    Then spread remaining dough on top.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
