Kraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    1 qt. sauerkraut
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    small jar pimentos
Preparation
    Boil together sugar and vinegar; boil 5 minutes.
    Cool completely.
    Drain and wash sauerkraut; add rest of ingredients. When liquid is cool, pour over vegetables.
    Let stand overnight. The longer it sets, the better it is.
