Chocolate Chip Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1/2 lb. butter
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 can evaporated milk
Preparation
    In large bowl, combine chocolate chips, butter and vanilla. Combine in saucepan sugar and evaporated milk.
    Bring to a rolling boil.
    Remove from heat exactly 6 minutes after boil starts.
    Pour over ingredients in bowl.
    Stir until butter and chips melt and mixture starts to thicken.
    Pour mixture into lightly greased pan. Let stand 5 to 6 hours.
    Cut into squares.
    Top with nuts, if desired.
