Apricot Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. dried apricots (1 pkg.)
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    3 tsp. double-acting baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over apricots; let stand until tender. Drain water and save.
    (If you don't have a cup, add water.) Roughly chop apricots.
    Pour liquid into mixing bowl.
    Add baking soda, sugar and eggs; mix well with wooden spoon.
    Add apricots, flour, baking powder and nuts; mix well again.
    Butter and flour two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf tins.
    Divide batter into tins; bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes, until straw comes out clean. Cool on racks and serve.
