Apple Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 c. butter or margarine
2 beaten egg yolks
4 medium (4 c.) apples, cored and sliced
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon (optional)
1 slightly beaten egg white
Preparation

Combine the 2 cups of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt.
Cut in butter until crumbs are the size of small peas.
Stir in egg yolks.
Divide mixture in half.
Press 1/2 in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.
