Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Peel onions; cut into 1/4-inch rings.
    Heat oil 1-inch deep in large skillet.
    Beat milk, flour, salt and baking powder by hand or with mixer until smooth.
    Make sure batter is thick.
    Dip each onion ring in batter; fry a few at a time.
    Try to turn only once.
