Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

20 medium cucumbers, sliced
2 large onions, sliced
2 large bell peppers, sliced
1 c. celery, sliced
1/2 c. salt
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric
3 c. sugar
3 c. vinegar
Preparation

Mix cucumbers, onions, peppers, celery and salt.
Let stand 2 hours, then drain.
Combine vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and turmeric in saucepan; bring to a boil, then let cool.
Pour over vegetables.
Store in glass gallon jar in refrigerator.
These keep a long time.
