Sour Cream Enchilada Casserole - cooking recipe

1 lb. ground beef
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 tsp. cumin
1/2 c. jalapeno relish or salsa
1 Tbsp. flour
1 c. grated cheese
2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. milk
1 c. sour cream
6 corn tortillas
Preparation

Brown meat and drain off excess fat.
Combine onion, spices and relish with meat; set aside.
Make white sauce by melting butter in a skillet, stirring in flour, then milk.
Bring to a boil or heat until thick.
Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
Grease a casserole dish and prepare 2 layers like this: three tortillas in pieces, 1/2 the sour cream sauce, 1/2 the meat mixture and 1/2 cup grated cheese.
Repeat these layers.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and let set 20 minutes before serving.
