Sweet And Sour Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bacon
    4 sliced onions
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 (15 oz.) can butter beans
    1 (15 oz.) can Great Northern beans
    1 can green lima beans
    2 cans red kidney beans
    1 can pork and beans
Preparation
    Fry bacon until crisp; set aside and crumble.
    Slice onions thin.
    Separate in rings and cook in bacon fat until tender. (Drain about half of the fat off first.)
    Stir in sugar, vinegar, mustard, garlic powder and salt.
    Simmer 20 minutes.
    Drain all beans, except pork and beans.
    Combine with onion mixture and bacon.
    Bake in a casserole or bean pot for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    This makes a lot but it freezes well.
