Spiced Pecans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. water
1/4 c. white Karo
2 c. pecan halves
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Butter 2 large cookie sheets.
In heavy saucepan stir together sugar, salt, allspice, cinnamon, water and syrup.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until boiling.
Continue cooking over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches 235\u00b0 on a candy thermometer or until mixture forms a soft ball in water. Remove from heat; add vanilla and nuts, stir until mixture begins to thicken.
Working quickly with a small metal spatula, drop each coated pecan half well apart onto cookie sheets.
Cool completely. Store in airtight containers.
