Raisin Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 c. water
5 Tbsp. liquid remains
1 c. soft shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. rolled oats
Preparation

Cook together until about 5 tablespoons liquid remains the raisins and water.
Drain, reserving the liquid.
Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix together thoroughly the shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in the cooled raisin liquid and vanilla.
Sift together and stir in flour, soda and salt.
Stir in oats and the raisins.
Drop by teaspoonful about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes in quick moderate oven (375\u00b0).
Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies 2 inches in diameter.
