Special Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 c. whipping cream
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
    1 shallot, chopped
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 lb. red potatoes (unpeeled), washed and cut into 1/8-inch slices
    1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Saute garlic, shallot and crushed red pepper in butter in a Dutch oven for 2 minutes.
    Ad milk, whipping cream, salt and pepper, stirring well.
    Add sliced potatoes.
    Bring mixture to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
    Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Sprinkle with cheeses.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
    Let stand 30 minutes before serving.
