Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. rhubarb, chopped
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1/4 c. cinnamon sugar
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; beat in egg and vanilla, then add mixed dry ingredients.
    Fold in rhubarb and spread into 9
    x 13-inch greased pan.
    Sprinkle on nuts and cinnamon sugar; bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
