Pecan Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. unsalted butter (room temperature)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
    Mix thoroughly.
    When well blended, pat into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
    Prick top with a fork.
    Bake 40 minutes. Remove and place on wire rack to cool and harden.
    Cut into squares.
