Baked Peaches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 peaches
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Peel, halve and pit peaches.
    In 1-quart saucepan, over medium high heat, heat sugar, lemon juice, butter and water to boiling.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Place peaches in a 3-quart casserole. Add syrup, cover and bake 30 minutes or until peaches are tender.
    Place a little mint jelly in each half if you like.
    Serve, drained, as a garnish for a meat dish or as a dessert.
