Deer Lovers Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. deer roast
    1 Tbsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1 qt. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Marinate roast overnight in buttermilk, salt, pepper and garlic powder at room temperature.
    Drain roast until marinate ceases dripping.
    Place in roasting pan.
    Roast for 2 hours at 350\u00b0, rotate, baste with marinate leftover after draining.
    Cook for another 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until done.
    Take roast out of pan and add 2 tablespoons of flour mixed with 2/3 cup water, shake well and add to drippings in the pan.
    Bring to a boil and make a gravy to the consistency at which you like.
    This is one of the best Downing recipes for a good wild game meal.
