Ingredients

1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
dash of salt
1 pt. jar fresh or canned sliced beets
Preparation

Boil sugar, vinegar and salt.
Pour off some liquid from beets.
Mix vinegar mixture and beets.
Fill jars with beet mixture.
Seal jar with lid and cover.
Do not use at least for one week.
Jars should be sterilized.
