New-Fashioned Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    dash of salt
    1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
    2 1/2 c. milk
    4 large egg yolks (whites reserved)
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers
    6 large ripe bananas
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine 2/3 cup sugar, flour and dash of salt in heavy saucepan.
    In bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, milk and egg yolks.
    Whisk into dry ingredients.
    Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until smooth and thickened.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in 2 teaspoons vanilla.
    Set aside.
