Cabbage Unrolled - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 sm. head cabbage, coarsely chopped
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 c. instant uncooked rice
    1 sm. onion chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 can (15 oz.) tomato puree
    1 can (14 1/2 oz) beef broth
Preparation
    Place 1/3 of cabbage in a large dutch oven.
    In a bowl, combine beef, rice, onion, salt and pepper; form into meatballs.
    Place half of the meatballs on top of the cabbage.
    Cover with 1/3 of the cabbage and the rest of the meatballs.
    Top with the remaining 1/3 of the cabbage.
    Pour tomato puree and beef broth over all.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer, covered 20 minutes, or until meat is cooked through.
