Sausage Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
    butter or margarine, melted
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Cook sausage until browned and crumbled.
    Drain well.
    Reserve drippings.
    Add butter to drippings to measure 1/4 cup; set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in medium bowl.
    Mix egg, milk and 1/4 cup reserved drippings; stir well.
    Add liquid mixture to dry ingredients, stirring until just moistened.
    Stir in cheese and sausage.
    Spoon batter into paper lined muffin pans. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 18 minutes.
    Remove from muffin pan immediately. Makes 1 dozen.
