Crock-Pot French Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 beef rump roast (about 3 lb.)
    1 (10.5 oz.) can beef broth
    1 (10.5 oz.) can condensed French onion soup
    1 (12 oz.) can beer
    8 French rolls or sub rolls, cut into pieces
    butter or margarine as needed (optional)
Preparation
    Trim excess fat from roast and place roast in crock-pot.
    Add the beef broth, onion soup and beer.
    Cook for 1 hour on high; turn down on low and cook for 7 hours.
