Candied Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. whole candied cherries, plus some for garnishing (red and green)
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 c. sugar
2 lb. pecan halves, plus some for garnishing
Preparation

Use two loaf pans.
Grease pans well with butter and line bottom and sides with wax paper cut to fit, then grease paper. Preheat oven to 275\u00b0.
