Sweet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    2 qt. vinegar
    4 1/2 lb. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    pickling spice
Preparation
    Mix lime and two gallons water and pour over sliced cucumbers. Soak 24 hours.
    Rinse three times in cool water.
    Soak 3 hours in ice water.
    Drain.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and salt.
    Pour over cucumbers and let set overnight.
    Add pickling spice to taste. Then boil 35 minutes and jar.
