Brown Beef And Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 8 potatoes, cooked and mashed and seasoned to taste
    1 lb. lean beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 small can mushrooms
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped (optional)
    flour or cornstarch (as thickener)
    water
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown beef and onion.
    Drain.
    Add mushrooms, pepper and celery.
    Cook until tender.
    Add enough water to cover beef mixture.
    Simmer 1/2 hour.
