Pumpkin Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. canned or 2 lb. cooked fresh pumpkin
3 c. scalded milk or chicken broth
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. sugar or 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
salt and pepper
ginger
cinnamon
1/2 c. finely julienned ham
3/4 c. light cream (if you have used the chicken broth)
Preparation

Place pumpkin in the milk or chicken broth.
Knead together and add butter and flour.
Add sugar, salt, pepper, ginger and cinnamon.
Also add the light cream if you used the chicken broth. Heat, but do not boil!
Serve at once.
