English Raspberry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    6 Tbsp. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. raspberry jam
    1/2 c. coconut
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Cream shortening, 6 tablespoons sugar and 1 egg until light and fluffy.
    Add flour mixture and thoroughly combine.
    Spread in a 10 1/2 x 13 1/2-inch shallow pan and cover with raspberry jam.
    Thoroughly combine the coconut, 1 egg and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Spread this topping over raspberry jam.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cut in squares.
