Pie-Dough Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    2 3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter
    milk
    1 1/2 qt. water
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and 3/4 teaspoon salt into a large bowl.
    Using your fingers, work the butter into the dry ingredients, then add enough milk to make a stiff batter.
    Turn the dough out onto a heavily floured board and roll to 1/2 inch thick. Cut into 2 inch squares.
    Bring the water to a boil, add 2 teaspoons salt and drop in dumplings.
    Lower the heat and cook the dumplings at a low boil, covered, for 20 to 25 minutes.
