Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. brown sugar
    5 egg yolks, beaten
    1 c. preserves
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    5 egg whites, beaten
    2 baked pastry shells
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until light.
    Then stir in egg yolks, preserves, vanilla and salt.
    Carefully fold in beaten egg whites. Divide between 2 baked shells.
    Bake in a slow 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
