Easy Cherry Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 (1 lb.) can sour pitted cherries
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter in 9-inch square pan or baking dish.
    Mix flour, 1 cup sugar and milk until smooth.
    Pour over melted butter.
    Pour can of cherries (undrained) over batter; sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes, or until browned.
