Santa'S Whiskers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup margarine
    1 cup sugar
    2 tsp milk
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 1/2 cups sifted flour
    3/4 cup finely cut red and green candied cherries
    1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream together margarine and sugar; then blend in milk and vanilla.
    Stir in flour, candied cherries and nuts.
    Form into 8 inch long rolls, 8 inch in diameter.
    Roll in coconut.
    Wrap in wax paper and chill overnight.
    Cut into 1/4 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
    Yields 5 dozen.
