Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 1/3 c. regular rice
    1/4 c. oil
    2 c. hot water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
Preparation
    In skillet, cook onion, pepper and rice in oil until lightly browned. Stir in rest of the ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer until rice is tender, 35 to 40 minutes.
