Escalloped Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (10 oz.) bags frozen corn
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    3/4 c. fine cracker crumbs
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1 heaping Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. milk
    dash of paprika
Preparation
    Butter a 2 1/2-quart round dish.
    Layer corn, salt, pepper, cracker crumbs and cheese; dot with butter.
    Repeat.
    Beat the egg.
    Add sugar and milk; pour over mixture.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Cover casserole the first 1/2 hour, then uncover and sprinkle with paprika.
    Let stand 5 minutes and serve. Makes 8 servings.
