Fried Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 to 1/2 c. instant potato flakes
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms
    garlic or onion salt (optional)
Preparation
    In a small bowl, combine egg and water.
    In another bowl, combine salt and potato flakes.
    Dip mushrooms, one at a time, in the egg mixture.
    Toss in the second mixture, adding more potato flakes as needed.
    Fry in oil 2 to 4 minutes or until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Sprinkle with garlic or onion salt.
