Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. apples, peeled, cored and sliced
    3 c. water
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1 (1 3/4 oz.) box powdered pectin
    1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground allspice
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine apples and water in a large Dutch oven.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and cook 20 to 25 minutes, until tender. Mash.
    Stir in sugars and remaining ingredients.
    (Stir in the pectin before the sugar; stir to dissolve.)
    Bring to boil.
    Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
