Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/4 c. brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/4 c. orange juice
    1 lb. mixed fruit
    1 lb. raisins, dates or nuts
Preparation
    Combine ingredients in the order listed.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours over pan of water.
