Health Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. boiling water
5 tsp. baking soda
1 c. oil
a little cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and ginger (optional)
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
5 c. sifted flour
2 c. All-Bran cereal
2 c. 40% bran flakes
2 c. wheat germ
2 c. raisins
2 c. chopped nuts
1 qt. buttermilk
Preparation

Add boiling water to soda, then add oil and any spices.
Cool to lukewarm.
Now add sugar and eggs; mix well. Set aside. Combine flour, cereals, wheat germ, raisins and nuts in a huge bowl.
Pour in lukewarm mixture, then add buttermilk.
Stir only enough to moisten. Batter will keep in sealed container for up to 6 weeks in refrigerator or bake muffins and freeze.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Fill muffin tins to 2/3 full only.
