Hash Brown Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 small baking potatoes
    1 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Boil potatoes in jackets; chill.
    Peel and coarsely shred (1 1/2 cups).
    Add onion, salt and dash of pepper.
    Melt butter or margarine in 8-inch skillet.
    Put potatoes in pan, leaving 1 inch space around the edge.
    Brown about 9 minutes.
    Reduce heat, if necessary; turn.
    Brown about 5 minutes longer, or until golden brown.
