Grandma'S Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions
    8 to 10 potatoes
    1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown beef and onions in skillet; drain.
    Place beef and onions in a stew pot.
    Cut tomatoes into small pieces; pour into beef.
    Peel and cut potatoes into bite size pieces.
    Pour potatoes into pot.
    Add salt and pepper; cook for 1 hour, covered, on low to medium heat.
    Add kidney beans; cook until potatoes are tender. If mixture does not have enough water, you may add a small can of tomato paste with water.
    Water can be added during cooking as potatoes cook.
