Goulash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. salad oil
    3 lb. beef chuck, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
    4 medium onions, finely chopped
    1/4 c. tomato paste
    1/4 c. chopped parsley
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 small bay leaf
    1 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Heat oil in pot.
    Add beef, a third at a time, and brown on all sides.
    Remove as browned.
