Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. blackberry jam
    1 scant tsp. cloves
    1 scant tsp. allspice
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 scant tsp. nutmeg
    1 scant tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/3 c. hot water
Preparation
    Mix ingredients well and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
