Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. quick oatmeal, uncooked
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Pour oatmeal and margarine in mixing bowl.
    Pour boiling water over them and let stand for 20 minutes.
    Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
    Add remaining ingredients and beat together.
    (Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon.)
    Pour batter into greased and floured 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until done.
    Cool slightly and spread with topping.
