Kennebunk Pickle(A Pioneer Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. green tomatoes
    2 lb. ripe tomatoes
    1 small head cabbage
    2 sweet red peppers
    2 sweet green peppers
    3/4 qt. onions
    1 bunch celery
    6 Tbsp. salt
    1 qt. white vinegar
    3 c. brown sugar
    1 (3-inch) stick cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves (whole)
    1 tsp. dry mustard
Preparation
    Chop the vegetables very fine. Add the salt and let stand overnight. Drain. Add the vinegar and brown sugar. Combine the cinnamon, cloves and mustard and tie in a small cheesecloth sack. Boil everything for about 30 minutes. Remove the cheesecloth sack. Pour into sterilized jars.
