Summer Apple Pudding-Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. chopped apples
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Beat the egg until light; add sugar and blend well.
    Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; add to egg mixture, stirring well.
    Add chopped apples and nuts.
    Spoon into well-greased 8 or 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for about 40 minutes.
    Serve warm or cool, with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream or plain.
    Although it bakes in a pie pan, this dessert is more like a cake, laced with lots of fresh apple and is quicker to make than a pie.
    I almost always double the recipe and bake it in a 10-inch pan.
