Old Fashioned Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    5 eggs, separated
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter; work into flour until mealy.
    Beat egg yolks, sugar and vanilla until thick and fluffy.
    Add first mixture, beating thoroughly.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Beat for 15 minutes. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour in greased tin.
