German Coleslaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. shredded cabbage
    2 green bell peppers, finely chopped
    1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
    4 medium onions, finely chopped
    1 1/3 c. cider vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix cabbage, bell peppers and onions in bowl.
    Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients in saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour over cabbage mixture.
    Chill for 24 hours or longer.
    Yield: 12 cups.
