Methodist Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. carrots
    1 large onion, sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. sugar (optional)
    1/3 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut in bits
Preparation
    Peel and slice carrots crosswise. Cook in salted water until just tender. Drain. While carrots are cooking, saut onion in butter until transparent. Do NOT brown!
    Add sugar.
